Thiasotai is the ancient Greek word for the members of a thiasos. This page holds information about and photos of our specific members. For photos of our shrines and altars, see the temenos page. For photos of our festivals and rituals, see the komos page. In these ways, we further establish a connection to each other and our religious lives.
Oinokhoe ~ I am 30 years old and live
in Eugene, Oregon. In addition to Dionysos, I am devoted to
Apollon, Hermes and the nymphs. I founded this thiasos, and strive
always to be a priestess and maenad to make Dionysos proud! For more about me, see my homepage winterscapes.com and the website I share with Sannion, wildivine.org

~ I am new to Dionysian religion, but have been a Hellenic pagan and
a particular devotee of Aphrodite for five years or so. I'm located
in Michigan's northwest upper peninsula.

Derick ~ I am 23 years old. I work as a poet
and abjunct professor while I attending graduate school. I am devoted
to Dionysos, Haides, and Apollon in particular, but believe that all
dieties need proper respect.

(near Seattle). I'm a witch and maenad who has been dedicated to
Dionysos for the past six years, and looking back I was in the god's
train much earlier. My coven puts on an autumn country Dionysia every
other year and makes wine as part of it. I'm particularly interested
in investigating the older, Cretan layer of the Hellenic material and
its associations with Dionysos, as I'm also dedicated to the Cretan
Great Goddess. Io euoi! Io Bakchos!
Klea ~ I'm a maenad/thyiad/mad muse from Portland, Oregon. I've been a devotee of Dionysos for about 10 years. It all started when I served as a Pythian priestess of Apollon during the years when a group of us here were reviving the Delphic oracle. The Golden God said, "worship My brother." So we did. Dionysos and His sacred madness claimed me, my thiasos sisters, and a number of other Bacchants here. We celebrate His mysteries in dance, revelry, meditation, and orebasia, and make wine from the grapes in our backyard grape arbor every year. This year, we were joined by about 20 grape-stomping revelers! The wine sits clarifying in my kitchen right now. Io, io, Dionyse! I adore You.
Lysiodoros ~ Portland, OR, USA; I'm a Bakchos, a priest of Dionysos, a Hermetist, and a Qabalist, and lucky enough to be married to a Maenad and to have a group of devoted Bacchants as friends. I'm working on new translations of the Orphic Hymns and other ancient Dionysiac source materials.
Nuri (or Katie). I live in Normal, Illinois for most of the year, going to school at Illinois State. LJ: http://fallenkalina.livejournal.com
My name is Jennifer; I'm 37 years old. College senior, double-majoring in English (Lit) and Criminal Justice, hoping to be accepted to do my grad work at Notre Dame's Medieval Institute. Hobbies include writing, RPGs, hiking, candlemaking, cooking, herbalism, and watching movies. I live in Whiting, Indiana, which is basically a suburb of Chicago.

I love Dionysos. I do not think I could breathe without him. He is
the cornerstone of my world, and the port in my harbor at all times.
He is 'home' for me. While I would never have thought of him
consciously in my past, now that I look back on my life, I see that
he has been right there, strong and relentlessly, all the time.
Now, when I look at my life, I see how he has always had his hand on
me, and all over the events that shaped me to this day. Not all of
them have been pleasant, surely. But they've definitely been worth
it.
I don't care what it costs, I don't care how much or how often I have
to bleed, to die.. I will do it a thousand times over, and do it
gladly. I'm underground, and have never felt more at home..
paradoxical as it may sound. I just don't mind burning, because he's
so tangible down here for me.
I consider it my highest honor, and my utmost joy to be a modern-day
Maenad.
Oreibasia ~ Kansas City, MO
Kylike ~ I'm 23, and live in Boise, ID. I love to dance and drink wine in my garden and up in the mountains, the better to commune with the gods.
Tanqueray ~ Saskatchewan. I'm 19, and I was always drawn to mythology, even as a child. My first real connection to Dionysos was when I was about 11-13, when I came across Bassareus in a really stupid and inaccurate book. I was, apparently, at a formative moment in my personal religion, as he joined my little hodge-podge pantheon. When I was 16-17, I did some past life searching, and discovered very deep Dionysian roots. Since then, well...you know that story.
Sannion ~ Sannion is a Greco-Egyptian syncreticist who lives in Eugene, Oregon where he maintains the Kradion ("temple of the heart") dedicated to Dionysos and Hermes and their synnaoi theoi or "temple-sharing gods". He serves Dionysos as a priest and mantis (if you would like an oracular consultation, contact him here.) and Hermes as a hieros idiotes or "holy fool". His personal website is Sannion's Sanctuary.
Samantha ~
Greetings I am Samantha, a mother of a beautiful daughter and resident
of NW Arkansas. I am a college student going for my bachelors degree in
history with plans to advance to graduating with a Masters if not
further. I have a passion for Greek and Roman history, culture and
religion. Dionysos has been a part of my life since my early teen
years, and following him has taught me many things about myself.
Including to take responsibility of my actions, including my most
stupid mistakes. I treasure my experiences with Dionysos as much as I
treasure those that I have with Hekate, Artemis, Hermes, Aphrodite,
Demeter et all :) Sara ~ I am in my early thirties and live in Iowa. I have been a Pagan
for 18+ years - I am a traditionalist witch with interests in Hellenic
paganism, Druidry/Celtic recon, and Gnostic/Celtic Christianity. I am
an anarchist, writer (poetry and non-fiction), bookworm, and
theologian, and I have interests in herbalism, calligraphy, fantasy
literature, radical activism, and many sundry other things that catch
my magpie eye.
