Since the beginning of my interest in matters of both paganism and the occult, I have been particularly drawn to the art of divination. Over the years, my practices have developed from early Tarot and the like to an intense study of oracular trance. This has coincided with my deepening relationship with Apollon, as well as my work with the dead, nymphs, Trophonios, and other spirits. 

Through Apollon I have learned of the power of the high seat on which the Pythia once sat - an interesting parallel to the Norse practice of seidhr, which also involves both gods and spirits and a deep trance state to provide an oracle. Through Trophonios I have learned of the power of the incubation chamber, typically used for healing in ancient Greece but also for oracular trance. I have been practicing oracular trance using these two basic methods for several years, most intensely since 2006. Over time, I have developed complex rituals and techniques for each, borrowing not only from the ancient Greeks but from other culture's trance methods when necessary (though making sure it all makes sense together). I keep an adyton, a room set aside solely for trancework and other ecstatic practices, which includes shrines to Apollon, Hermes, Dionysos, the Korykian Nymphs, Trophonios, the Pythiai, and my myriad personal spirits, as well as a high seat, incubation chamber, and various tools of the trade.  These oracular sessions typically do not make use of mechanical means of divination, but rather employ direct inspiration as the mode of communication with the gods and spirits. While my patrons in this Work are mostly Greek in origin, I am able to receive oracles from deities outside that pantheon, and convey information to those from other traditions. 

This I am sure of: the gods want to speak to their worshippers, they have things to say and they want to be heard. One of the main reasons I am devoting my life to this path is that I am sure that the gods want to speak to us, but that many if not most people have trouble hearing them clearly, or at all. My job is to become a clear conduit, facilitate communication between them and us, for those who can't do so themselves. As such, I offer my services as an oracle.

During the time Apollon is at Delphi (roughly mid-February through mid-November), I perform high-seat oracular trance on the seventh day of each lunar month, under His auspices. (During the winter when He departs for Hyperborea, I switch to incubation oracles under the tutelage of Trophonios, but these are private.) However, other gods and spirits can and will appear or relay information. If your question needs to be answered immediately, I may add another trance session, or use other means of divination.

State your question as simply as possible - if background information is absolutely necessary then include it, but in general I prefer not to know too much about the situation, lest my own thoughts interfere with the process. I will email you the results of your oracle in the day or two after the session. Since I consider myself to always be in training for this work, I certainly appreciate feedback (if the oracle made sense to you, if you benefited from it or not, etc.), so feel free to respond honestly if you wish, and you may also ask for further clarification or detail, though be aware that I may not always be able to provide it. Sometimes oracles are purposely vague, and They won't elucidate, and sometimes the signal just isn't clear enough.

Please note that while I am happy to do oracles for any type of polytheist or pagan, this is not a "psychic" service or some kind of entertainment - it is a religious practice. If you do not at least believe in the gods and respect my spirituality, it is pointless to request an oracle.

I do not charge a fee for this service, but if you would like to offer compensation, you may do so below (the link goes to Paypal). Oracular trance is an exhausting and time-consuming practice, and maintaining the adyton and performing rites for the appropriate gods costs money. I believe a good rule of thumb is to pay what you feel the service is worth, and/or what you can afford. However, if you cannot donate anything at this time, I am still happy to do an oracle for you, as I believe this should be an experience available to anyone in need. All monetary contributions will be used directly for the upkeep of the oracular room (such as for supplies like incense, candles, charcoal, bay leaves, offerings, etc.).

Regardless, I do suggest that you make your own offering or libation to Apollon (and any Others who might assist) in thanks for His aid. I certainly work hard for this, but I am still simply the messenger, and the actual source of your oracle is Apollon and/or the other gods and spirits.

NOTE: The oracular sessions run through September 25, 2009, and take place every month on the 7th day after the new moon. They will resume after that in February 2010.
